CompTIA A+ certification validates foundation level knowledge and skills necessary for a career in PC support.  It is the starting point for a career in Information Technology.  A+ is vendor-neutral certification proves competence in areas such as installation, preventative maintenance, networking, security and troubleshootingTwo exams are necessary to be certified: CompTIA A+ Essentials, exam code 220-701; and CompTIA A+ Practical Application, exam code 220-702.

Network+

The exam covers network technologies, installation and configuration, media and topologies, management, and security. Candidate job roles include network administrator, network technician, network installer, help desk technician and IT cable installer.

Security+

CompTIA Security+ is an international, vendor-neutral certification that demonstrates competency in Network security, Compliance and operational security, Threats and vulnerabilities, Application, data and host security,Access control and identity management, Cryptography.  CompTIA Security+ not only ensures that candidates will apply knowledge of security concepts, tools, and procedures to react to security incidents, it ensures that security personnel are anticipating security risks and guarding against them.
